As you learned in the film, when you are on board a canoe, you are part of a community. You depend on your crew, and your crew depends on you. Everyone has to work together to reach a common goal. 

For the next few classes, you will be working in small groups to go through the lessons and activities. This is your crew: you will need to work together to succeed. Your first crew activity will be to get to know each other!
